Museum Development 1991

A feasibility study was made in 1991. Option A had a café/lecture room with kitchens at the far end of the lower garden. The main entrance was through the Mill which had display galleries and store-rooms. Option B provided a café in the lower floor of the Mill, with storage and a gallery above, and a larger store/research room at the far end of the lower garden. None of the ideas in the 1987 scheme were adopted, but the 1991 study formed the basis of the plans adopted in 1993.
